The CLE Cigar Company was founded in 2012 by Christian Eiroa, the previous the president of Camacho Cigars. Their cigars are produced in their Aladino Factory in Danli, Honduras, and at their Wynwood factory in Miami. This version of Asylum Insidious with a San Andreas Maduro wrapper is rolled at Christian Eiroa’s Fabricas Unidas perfectly crafted by skilled hands. It features the same Honduran medium-bodied blend of their previous version that made the original Insidious a smash hit.
The Asylum Insidious Maduro takes a solid medium-bodied maduro cigar and makes it even more pleasant by adding a sweet cap making it a great dessert cigar. The wrapper is a dark San Andres Maduro leaf laid over the top of a Honduran binder long-filler. This radically rich wrapper, along with the Honduran interior tobaccos, make for a mouthwatering maduro you will not want to miss.
From a mild beginning, the strength reaches a solid medium near the midpoint and remains so through to the end. The flavor has notes of coffee and cocoa, and sweet spices and the cap lends itself to creating a mocha-like taste.
